Mathematics is very closely related to the ability to count, one of which is multiplication calculation. Multiplication material has been taught since grade II in elementary school, but up to grade III many students still find it difficult. The problem faced is not memorizing multiplication, calculating by adding repeatedly takes a long time and often gets wrong results. The purpose of this research was to improve the ability to count multiplication by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the media jarimatika in class III students at SDN Beran 6. The research method used was Collaborative Classroom Action Research which consisted of two cycles. The research subjects were class III students at SDN Beran 6 in the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 9 students. The test results obtained were in the form of an average pre-cycle class score of 58.8% to 68.8% in the results of the first cycle, and 80% in the second cycle. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and the media of jarimatics are effective for increasing the ability to count multiplication in class III students at SDN Beran 6.Downloads
