Abstract

Education in the modern era requires teachers to always develop student competencies in the learning process. The ability, among others, in students‘ critical thinking, with a variety of learning models, it is expected that students’ thinking skills will increase, among others, using the PBL model. The use of problem-based models is in accordance with the objectives of this study, namely improving students' critical thinking skills. This research is included in PTK, which includes: Plan, implement, and results for each cycle. This research proves that the problem-based model is able to improve critical thinking, it can be seen from the average results of each cycle, namely cycle I 72.86 and cycle II average 81.50. This model is able to empower students to construct their own knowledge
