Abstract

In this modern era, there are still many teachers who do not deeply understand the concept of edutainment and how to implement it. Edutainment-based learning in elementary schools presents a new hope in creating a more enjoyable, effective and meaningful teaching and learning process for students. This approach that combines elements of education and entertainment is expected to bring various benefits, both for students and teachers. The objectives of this service are (1) to improve the skills of Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers in Purworejo Regency in implementing edutainment-based learning and (2) to assist teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum more effectively. Activities are carried out in the form of training and mentoring by starting with an explanation of the concept of edutainment, how to create interesting learning songs, making edutainment-based interactive quizzes, technical guidelines for making edutainment quizzes, introducing educational games, introducing popup books and flashcards in learning, and implementing experiments based on fun activities.
