Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the IPAS learning media on the solar system using an Augmented Reality application in enhancing learning motivation and improving students' learning outcomes. The research design used in this study is a quantitative model in the form of a Quasi-Experimental Design. The research sample consisted of 40 sixth-grade students from SD Negeri Ujungrusi 04 as the control group and 32 sixth-grade students from SD Negeri Harjosari Lor 01 as the experimental group. The results for improving learning motivation using the media showed a significance value (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0. This indicates that learning using the Augmented Reality application on the science topic of the solar system positively impacts students' learning motivation. Furthermore, the results for the improvement in learning outcomes were obtained from t-tests and N-gain calculations. The t-test results showed a significance value (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is an improvement in students' learning outcomes after using the Augmented Reality application. The N-gain calculation yielded a significance score of 0.76, categorized as high, indicating a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes after using the Augmented Reality application on the solar system topic. It can be concluded that the IPAS learning media on the solar system topic through the Augmented Reality application can enhance both students' motivation and learning outcomes.
