ANALISIS CUBES STRATEGY PADA PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SOAL CERITA OPERASI BILANGAN CACAH DI KELAS V SD NEGERI TANJUNG 01

Math story problems of arithmetic operations on counting numbers are problems that are considered difficult by students. This problem is presented with mathematical concepts in narrative form, so that it requires problem solving skills. SD Negeri Tanjung 01 as a Teaching Campus 6 partner school has implemented the CUBES Strategy. CUBES Strategy is a strategy in the form of steps to facilitate solving math problems in the form of story problems. This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of CUBES Strategy on arithmetic operation story problems on integers and (2) explain the process of solving math problems on arithmetic operation story problems on integers using CUBES Strategy. The method used in this research is qualitative case study. The data analysis technique used is the Miles & Huberman Interactive Model in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study obtained the results of the implementation of CUBES Startegy as much as 80% of students have reached KKTP. Learners are able to apply the CUBES Strategy steps well in accordance with stages C, U, B, E, and S. The mathematical problem solving process carried out has a percentage of 82.67% with a very high category. This shows that the problem solving process has been carried out with the CUBES Strategy steps, namely understanding the problem stages C and U, planning the completion of stages B and E, carrying out the completion of stage S, and making conclusions based on the results obtained.Downloads
