Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of use of technology-based media in mathematics learning in grade 5 elementary schools in the digital era. This research aims to develop an interesting interactive multimedia of mathematics, addition and subtraction of mixed fractions to motivate students in learning. This is development research (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). This study produced interactive multimedia that was declared valid by material expert validators with a percentage of 88.64%, media expert validators with 87.50%, and linguist validators with 91.67%. Multimedia practicality was stated to be practical by obtaining a percentage of 93.75% of the teacher response questionnaire and 92.60% and 90.75% of the response questionnaire of grade V students of SDN 30 Cengkeh and SDN 36 Cengkeh. The results of multimedia effectiveness were categorized as quite effective based on the percentage of n-gain scores of 64.93% for students of SDN 30 Cengkeh and 62.88% for students of SDN 36 Cengkeh. With this, it can be stated that the interactive multimedia developed is valid, practical, and quite effective to be used in classroom learning.
