Abstract

This study aims to determine the awareness of elementary school students regarding digital literacy skills. In education in the digital era at this time technology is increasingly developing, digital literacy skills are one of the skills that elementary school students must be able to utilize to assist in learning. In this study using descriptive qualitative research methods by analyzing grade VI students. The research was conducted in Cihideung District, namely SD Negeri 1 Gunungpereng, the research subject was students. Qualitative data collection was used to analyze teacher awareness of digital literacy skills using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results found that almost all learners already have the ability to operate digital devices such as cellphones and computers, and are able to use information via the internet. This means that learners already have the ability of several skills in digital literacy skills. However, further efforts are still needed to improve learners' more complex digital literacy skills, especially by using technology critically and responsibly.  This finding adds insight into the need for continuous improvement efforts related to digital literacy skills of elementary school learners with schools and parents to support the development of learners' digital literacy skills.
