Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether students become more active when the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Devision) learning model is applied with the help of Wordwall media in class V State Elementery School Tegalrejo 04, Salatiga. Researchers used Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on CAR Model Kurt Lewin, which includes four stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted 2 (two) cycle with research subject being 16 five grade students. Data were collected trought observation, interviews, and documentation, using an observation sheet to measure learner activennes. The results showed that form cycle I (one) to cycle II (two), learner’s activeness increased sgnificantly. In cycle I (one), 11,41% of learners were in the very active category, and 22,58% were in the active category. In cycle II (two), the percentage of learners who were very active increased to 20.00%, and those who were active to 25.71%, and there were no learners in the less active category. These results show that by the applying the STAD (Student Teams Acivement Division) model with help of Wordwall media, it can help increase the activeness of student, make students more involved in the learning process, and make learning more fun and interactive.
