Abstract

Numeracy skills are very necessary for students, including students in elementary schools, because it is one of the competencies that must be mastered in this era of independent curriculum. With these conditions, teachers are expected to innovate in learning to improve students' numeracy skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on building materials to improve the numeracy literacy of grade IV students of SDN Bugangan 02. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the Project Based Learning learning model on students' numeracy skills at SDN Bugangan 02. This study uses a quantitative research approach of experimental method with a pre-experimental design, namely one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study is grade IV students at SDN Bugangan 02  for the 2023/2024 school year which is 19 students. The sample was taken from the entire existing population or called a saturated sample because the population was less than 30 people. The data collection technique uses observation methods, documentation and test methods. The data analysis technique uses a paired sample t-test to test the hypothesis. The results of the hypothesis test show that the sign value = 0.01 < 0.05  so that it can be said that Ho is rejected so that it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the PjBL model on students' numeracy ability. Thus, it can be said that the application of the Project Based Learning model has an influence on students' numeracy skills at SDN Bugangan 02.
