Abstract

Participants’ knowledge and awareness of various types of injuries, such as first aid of injuries and risks in physical activities and sports are still relatively low, especially in Physical Education and Health learning which involves a lot of practical activities. The main objective of this subject research is to determine the results of increasing awareness and knowledge of grade four students at SDN Jombatan Jombang. The qualitative descriptive research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) collaboratively with Field Supervisors Lecturer and Teachers. Data collected in this research is the result of test results and observation sheets collected by researcher. There are three steps of this research, such as pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The test was carried out during the Pre-Cycle, Cycle I and Cycle II, with an average score of 65, the percentage of pre-cycle students’ mastery of learning was only 11.76% but after have been learning using an animation based learning video approach and conducting teste ini Cycle II, it has been increasing 100% with the average score data in 90 score. From the result above, it can be concluded that the treatment results from this research proved that through this animation-based learning video, it helps to increases the awareness and knowledge of Jombatan Jombang Elementary School students regarding the types and methods of first aid for injuries.
