Abstract

This classroom action research aims to show an increase in learning outcomes in learning about healthy lifestyles through the application of the Discovery Learning learning model in class IV at SDN Jombatan Jombang. This research consists of 2 cycles starting with the pre-cycle and each cycle starting with planning, implementation, observation, evaluation and reflection. The subjects of this research were students in class IV of SDN Jombatan Jombang, Jombang, totaling 27 children. This research activity was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The data analysis used is descriptive statistical tests, percentage results tests and results difference tests. As for the percentage of student activity in learning activities in cycle I, the Very Good category is 15%, the Good category is 37, the sufficient category is 15% and 33 are in the poor category. Meanwhile, in cycle II there was an increase in the percentage of students' learning activity scores, namely 52% were very good, 37% were in the good category, 11% of students were in the sufficient category, and in cycle II there were no students in the poor category. The percentage increase in classical learning outcomes in cycle I was 51.8%, increasing to 88.9% in cycle II. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students.
