Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery of phenomena of lack of motivation to learn in class XI students at SMAS Babussalam Pekanbaru. The aim of this research is to find out whether PPKn teacher pedagogical competence influences learning motivation in class XI students at SMAS Babussalam Pekanbaru. The population in this study were class XI students at SMAS Babussalam Pekanbaru, consisting of 104 individuals. The sampling technique used the Issac and Michael formula with an error rate of 1%, so the sample consisted of 98 respondents. In this research, the data analysis method used is Simple Linear Regression analysis with numerical statistical tests of normality, linearity, simple linear regression, F, T tests, coefficient determination (R-Square), correlation (R), and hypothesis. The results and findings of this research show that PPKn teacher pedagogical competence has an influence on the learning motivation of class XI students at SMAS Babussalam Pekanbaru.
