PENERAPAN STRATEGI LITERASI VISUAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN SISWA MEMBEDAKAN HURUF YANG MIRIP PADA TEKS CERITA SEDERHANA BAHASA INDONESIA KELAS I SDN 34/I TERATAI

The results of this research include initial data or initial conditions obtained by researchers from the results of daily tests of class I students at SDN 34/I Teratai for the 2024/2025 academic year, then improvements were made using Classroom Action Research (PTK) in two cycles in which there were four stages. in each cycle, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This classroom action research is an effort to improve students' ability to differentiate similar letters in simple Indonesian story texts for class I using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Based on the known scores in cycle 1 of the Indonesian language material, of the 22 students there were only 4 students who met the score > KKM (70) while 18 of them had the score < KKM (70). Based on the known scores in the Indonesian language cycle 2 material, all 22 students had a score > KKM (70) so it can be stated that in cycle 2 all students experienced completion when implementing the problem-based learning model. Based on the data that has been explained, the visual literacy strategy using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in class I Indonesian language material at SDN 34/I Teratai for the 2024/2025 academic year has experienced an increase in the results of the assessment for Cycle I and Cycle II. The completeness of individual learning results in cycle I was 4 students with classical completeness reaching 18.18% and the class average score was 57.50. Furthermore, the completeness of understanding individual visual literacy strategies in cycle II increased, namely 22 students with classical completeness reaching 100% and the average class score obtained was 80.91, this was due to the learning process students had followed it well like almost all students. "I have paid attention to the teacher when explaining the learning material, there are already several students who dare to ask questions about the explanation given by the teacher and provide answers to questions asked by the teacher and students." In working together with friends in groups to complete worksheets, students are good and converting fractional values into pictures is also good, so these results have an impact on the evaluation test results for understanding visual literacy strategies which have reached the criteria for completeness, namely classical completeness has reached 100%. this is in line with.
