Abstract

This research was motivated by suboptimal learning outcomes in science material for class V students at SDN Sendangmulyo Rembang Regency. The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine the effectiveness of the experiential learning model on the science and science learning outcomes regarding the nature of light for class V students at SDN Sendangmulyo Rembang Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is quantitative research in the form of a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest posttest design. The results of this research showed that the average pretest result was 67.178 and the average posttest result was 89.464, after the t test was obtained, with N=28. t_count is 18.8767, while t_table with db = N-1= 28-1 =27, and with a significance level of 0.05 is 2,056. Because t_count < t_table, H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. So it can be interpreted that the Experiential Learning learning model is effective on the science and science learning outcomes regarding the nature of light for class V students at SDN Sendangmulyo Rembang Regency. Based on the research results obtained, the researcher suggests that the Experiential Learning Model can be used as a variation in learning in Class V of Sendangmulyo State Elementary School, Rembang Regency, the application of the Experiential Learning model can foster an active, fun and effective learning atmosphere so that learning outcomes can increase.
