Abstract

Education in Indonesia has developed but still faces challenges in improving the quality and relevance of learning. One of the challenges faced is the low interest in learning of students in class IV-C SD Negeri Lidah Wetan II. Factors causing low interest in learning include uninteresting learning models, learning methods that are less varied, and students' kinesthetic learning styles that are not fulfilled. Therefore, a more innovative and interactive learning approach, such as the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, is needed to improve student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the research was conducted using a classroom action research approach based on the Kemmis and Taggart model, where the application of PjBL successfully improved student learning outcomes. It is known that in cycle 1, the percentage of learning completeness was 75.86% or as many as 22 students who were complete and 7 students who were not complete with an average score of 80. Meanwhile, in cycle II, it is known that the percentage of learning completeness was 89.66% or as many as 26 students who were complete and 3 students who were not complete with an average score of 90. The results showed a significant increase from pre-cycle to cycle II in terms of the percentage of student completeness and the average score of students on the material of buying and selling activities as a fulfilment of life.
