PROGRAM MALAM IBADAH (MABID) DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTERISTIK SISWA DI SMP 57 MUHAMMADIYAH MEDAN

This research aims to determine the Night of Worship program (MABID) in the Formation of Student Characteristics at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah Medan, and find out the factors that influence this night of worship program on students. SMP 57 Muhammadiyah Medan is one of the schools that implements a night of worship program which aims to shape the character of students who are directly coached and led by the principal, teachers and other staff. This evening worship program is carried out once a month in turns starting from class VII to class IX, which is in accordance with Zainal Arifin's statement as the school principal that this program is carried out once a month in turns. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out by looking at ongoing events and processes. The data source is taken directly from the first data source, namely the Principal, Religion Teacher, Subject Teacher and Students. The results of this research are evening worship programs implemented for students at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah Medan. In implementing this night of worship program, students are expected to stay two days and one night at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah Medan to receive various religious materials and knowledge from teachers or ustadz who participate in this program. The steps in implementing this night of worship program start from reading Al-Qur’an together, praying five times a day, praying Tahajjud and listening to reli gious lectures together. Apart from that, supporting and inhibiting factors for this program were also found. The supporting factor for this program is that there are teachers who participate and are responsible and contribute to the success of this program. The inhibiting factor is the lack of Islamic religious knowledge for students due to developments in the current era of globalization that have become more sophisticated.Downloads
