PENGUATAN NILAI KARAKTER KEDISIPLINAN DAN PEDULI SOSIAL MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER PALANG MERAH REMAJA (PMR) DI SMAN 4 KOTA BIMA

Abstract

This research aims to find out: 1.) what is the implementation process in strengthening the character values ​​of discipline and social care through extracurricular activities of the Youth Red Cross at SMAN 4 Bima City, 2.) Inhibiting and supporting factors for strengthening the character values ​​of discipline and social care through Palang extracurricular activities Red Youth at SMAN 4 Bima City. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. Then the data that has been collected is analyzed through data reduction steps, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the process of implementing PMR extracurricular activities in strengthening the character values ​​of discipline and social care is carried out through 1.) Routine training activities carried out in the afternoon twice a week, 2.) Relief activities, fundraising, blood donation activities and humanitarian activities other. The inhibiting factors in strengthening discipline and social awareness are: 1.) Student readiness, 2.) time, 3.) Student emotions are not yet stable, 4.) time for implementing work program activities, 5.) parental support. And the supporting factors in strengthening discipline and social awareness are: 1.) student interest, 2.) support from the school, 3.) Availability of facilities and infrastructure in PMR activities, 4.) Students, as a role in PMR activities 5. ) Activities programmed by the organization.
