GAMES BOARD: SALAHSATU MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using Games Board media on students' scientific literacy abilities. In this research, a quasi-experimental method was used with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, where one class was the experimental group that applied Games Board media, while the other class was the control group that applied conventional learning. The results of research data analysis in hypothesis testing obtained a significance result (2-tailed) of 0.001. So we get a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, meaning that there is an influence of Games Board media on the scientific literacy of elementary school students. And the effect size test of the Cohens'd formula is 0.623, so d shows the medium category. The results of this research show that the use of Games Board media has quite an influence on the scientific literacy abilities of elementary school students. This research shows that the use of Games Board media can be an effective alternative in improving students' scientific literacy skills.
