PENGEMBANGAN BUTIR SOAL BERBASIS OPEN-ENDED PADA MATERI BANGUN DATAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK DI SEKOLAH DASAR

This research aims to enhance the critical thinking skills of elementary school students by developing open-ended questions based on the topic of plane geometry. This study falls under the category of Research and Development (R&D). The research subjects were 15 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Pakis. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and tests. All collected data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The data analysis results conclude that: (1) the development of open-ended questions can serve as a solution for fourth-grade teachers at SD Negeri 4 Pakis to improve students' thinking skills, as validated by media and content experts, with a validation score of 88% for media validation categorized as "Very Good" and a content validation score of 71% categorized as "Good"; (2) The development of open-ended questions is deemed effective, as evidenced by the percentage of fourth-grade students meeting the post-test criteria, indicating an improvement in their scores. There is a significant difference in the average scores before and after, with a significance level (2-tailed) of .000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant impact of developing open-ended questions, making them suitable for use in the learning process after revisions and effective for enhancing students' critical thinking skills.Downloads
