PENGGUNAAN PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

This research aims to determine the increase in critical thinking skills in the mathematics lesson content of students in class IV Elementary Schools who apply Realistic Mathematics Education approach. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. This research was conducted at Drangong 1 State Elementary School, Serang City.The sampling technique in this research used nonprobability sampling technique. This research used two experimental classes, namely classes IV A as experimental class 1 which was given the RME approach and class IV B as experimental class 2 was given an expository approach. The research instrument used was a test instrument in the form of 10 descriptive question. The data analysis technique for testing this research hypothesis isu sing the two-party and one-party t test (right). The results of the two-party test calculation obtained a value of = 2,907 with = 2,002 so that 2,907 2,002, then was rejected and was accepted. It can be concluded that there is a difference in increasing critical thinking skill between students who are given the RME approach and those who are given the expository approach. The results of the one party test (right) obtained = 3,51 with = 2,002 so that 3,51 2,002, then was rejected and was accepted. It can be concluded that the critical thinking abilities of students who were given the RME approach were better than those who were given the expository approach.Downloads
