Learning to read in high grades often uses conventional methods. In this method, students are asked to read reading material and then ask questions about what they do not understand. This makes learning reading comprehension less varied and less interesting. In learning to read, models with media are needed that improve students' reading comprehension skills. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the flash card-assisted scramble model on improving the reading ability of fourth grade students at Lamklat State Elementary School, Aceh Besar.The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a classroom action research (PTK) design. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling because the population was less than 100 people. The sample in this study was taken from all fourth grade students at SD Lamklat Aceh Besar with a total of 22 students. The data collection technique in this research is a written test technique. Data was analyzed by presenting data, collecting data, reducing data and concluding data.The results of reading comprehension ability can be seen from the average value obtained for cycle one, which is 54.54 and the average value for cycle two is 81.13. In this research, there was an influence on students' reading comprehension abilities using the scramble model assisted by flash cards. It is hoped that future researchers will be able to pay attention to the timing capabilities used in the Scramble model assisted by flash cardsDownloads
