ANALISIS STRUKTUR NARRATIF DALAM DONGENG SWEETHEART ROLAND KARYA JACOB AND WILHELM GRIMM : KAJIAN STRUKTURAL PROPP

Abstract

This article discusses a fairytales which is collected by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm (Brother Grimm) entitled  Sweetheart Roland. The aim of the research is to see the narrative structure of the fairytales. The theory that used in this article is the Narrative Structure that proposed by Vladimir Propp. After analyzing the fairytales, the are eightteen functions that found in the fairy tales, the functions are : Absentation, lack, trickery, meditation, departure, provition of receipt of a magical agent, pursuit, rescue, struggle, victory, designation, unrecognized, transfiguration, return, difficult task, solution, recognition, and Wedding. After seeing the fucntion it can be seen the plot of the story.  Besides,from seven of sphere of action there are four actions  that happen in the fairytales, they are : Villain, donor, helper and hero. After analyzing the function and the scheme of the function it can be conclude that this fairytales also have a similar structure with Rusian Folktales.
