Abstract

The ummi method is a method for studying the Qur'an. One of the efforts used to improve the ability to read the Koran in children is to apply methods that make it easier to learn the Koran. The purpose of this research is to describe the learning process, supporting factors, and evaluation of learning the Qur'an using the Ummi method at SDI Suryabuana. This research method is a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the process of learning the Koran using the ummi method at SDI Suryabuana is going well because it is supported by the competence possessed by clerics who have been certified ummi foundation which can be seen from the children from lower grades who can pronounce makhorijul letters correctly. The supporting factors for learning the Ummi method are student enthusiasm and the ability of the ustadz in teaching. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of support from parents and the surrounding environment.
