Proses Peer Review

Jurnal Riset Ekonomi dan Bisnis Mahasiswa (Brainy) menerapkan proses double-blind peer review untuk memastikan kualitas, orisinalitas, kontribusi ilmiah, dan relevansi setiap artikel yang diterbitkan. Dalam sistem double-blind peer review, identitas penulis dan reviewer dijaga kerahasiaannya selama proses peninjauan.

Setiap naskah yang masuk terlebih dahulu melalui pemeriksaan awal oleh Editor untuk menilai kesesuaian naskah dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup Jurnal Brainy, kepatuhan terhadap pedoman penulis, kualitas naskah, serta aspek etika publikasi. Pada tahap ini, naskah juga dapat diperiksa menggunakan perangkat lunak pendeteksi kemiripan untuk memastikan kepatuhan terhadap prinsip orisinalitas dan integritas akademik.

Naskah yang memenuhi persyaratan pada tahap pemeriksaan awal akan dikirimkan kepada sekurang-kurangnya dua reviewer independen yang memiliki kompetensi dan bidang keilmuan yang sesuai dengan topik naskah. Reviewer menilai naskah berdasarkan beberapa aspek, antara lain:

  • Orisinalitas dan kebaruan penelitian.
  • Relevansi dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal.
  • Kontribusi dan signifikansi ilmiah.
  • Ketepatan dan kesesuaian metodologi penelitian.
  • Kualitas analisis dan interpretasi data.
  • Kejelasan penyajian dan sistematika penulisan.
  • Kualitas dan relevansi referensi.
  • Implikasi teoretis dan praktis penelitian.
  • Kepatuhan terhadap prinsip etika penelitian dan publikasi.

Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dan rekomendasi reviewer, Editor dapat menetapkan salah satu keputusan berikut:

  • Diterima (Accept) tanpa revisi.
  • Revisi Minor (Minor Revision).
  • Revisi Mayor (Major Revision).
  • Ditolak (Reject).

Apabila naskah memerlukan revisi, penulis wajib memperbaiki naskah berdasarkan komentar dan rekomendasi reviewer serta mengirimkan kembali naskah yang telah direvisi dalam batas waktu yang ditentukan. Penulis juga diharapkan menyertakan tanggapan terhadap setiap komentar reviewer secara jelas dan sistematis. Naskah hasil revisi dapat dikirimkan kembali kepada reviewer yang sama untuk evaluasi lebih lanjut apabila diperlukan.

Keputusan akhir mengenai penerimaan atau penolakan naskah berada pada Editor-in-Chief dengan mempertimbangkan rekomendasi reviewer, kualitas ilmiah naskah, kesesuaian dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal, serta standar editorial Jurnal Brainy.

Jurnal Brainy berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan proses peer review secara adil, objektif, transparan, rahasia, dan tepat waktu, dengan tetap menjunjung tinggi integritas akademik dan etika publikasi ilmiah.

 

Peer Review Process

Jurnal Riset Ekonomi dan Bisnis Mahasiswa (Brainy) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific contribution, and relevance of every published article. In the double-blind peer review system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

Each submitted manuscript first undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its suitability with the focus and scope of Jurnal Brainy, compliance with the author guidelines, manuscript quality, and publication ethics. At this stage, the manuscript may also be checked using plagiarism or similarity detection software to ensure compliance with the principles of originality and academic integrity.

Manuscripts that meet the requirements at the initial screening stage are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who have relevant expertise and academic backgrounds appropriate to the topic of the manuscript. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several aspects, including:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.
  • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
  • Scientific contribution and significance.
  • Accuracy and appropriateness of the research methodology.
  • Quality of data analysis and interpretation.
  • Clarity of presentation and organization.
  • Quality and relevance of references.
  • Theoretical and practical implications of the research.
  • Compliance with research and publication ethics.

Based on the reviewers' evaluations and recommendations, the Editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision.
  • Minor Revision.
  • Major Revision.
  • Reject.

If a manuscript requires revision, authors must revise the manuscript based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Authors are also expected to provide a clear and systematic response to each reviewer comment. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the same reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, taking into consideration the reviewers' recommendations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, its alignment with the journal's focus and scope, and Jurnal Brainy's editorial standards.
