Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to find out the application of the mind mapping model to increase the literacy of elementary school students. This research is a Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this study were 16 students in class V at SD Negeri JERUK for the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, field notes, tests, and documentation with content validity data analysis and triangulation. This data was obtained from the results of the pre-test and post-test by applying the mind mapping learning model during the learning process. To carry out a statistical analysis of the research, use the assessment guidelines adopted from one expert. The results of the study show that the mind mapping learning model has a significant effect on increasing the literacy skills of elementary school students. The findings of this study can provide a reference for teachers to apply the mind mapping learning model into the learning process according to the material to be developed.
