ANALISIS PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III DI SDN PEJATEN BARAT 08 PAGI

Abstract

There are factors that influence learning achievement, one of which is environmental factors. The smallest environment in society is the family environment, where there are parents who are responsible for it. In the acquisition and improvement of learning achievement, the role of parents has a stake in it. This study aims to describe the role of parents in the learning achievement of Indonesian language students in class III at SDN Pejaten Barat 08 Pagi. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected through observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Data will be analyzed using techniques of collecting data, modeling data and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data in the study used a triangulation technique. In this study, there were subjects that the researchers determined as many as 4 parents, 4 students, and class III B teachers. Based on the results of the research that had been conducted, it was shown that parents met the needs and needs of students, both material and non-material, such as giving attention to advice, punishment, gifts and tutoring services. So that it can be said that the parents of students have carried out their role properly. This can be seen in the interviews conducted showing that students get high learning achievements and do not experience difficulties in learning if parents provide direct assistance in the learning process. Student achievement can be seen in test scores or exams and assignments that have reached the completeness criteria (KKM) set by the school of 70. The implication of this research is that parents who provide full assistance directly to students can help students achieve good learning achievement. . In addition to parents, teachers also influence them so that both of them must synergize with each other in carrying out their respective roles because it will have an impact on student achievement.
