Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve science learning outcomes in the subject matter of single substances and mixed substances Theme 9 using the Make A Match Cooperative Method for Grade V Students at SD Negeri 2 Candi. Researchers used 2 cycles with the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Based on the achievement of student learning outcomes in the initial conditions, the results of learning science for class V SD Negeri 2 Candi students were still very low, students who had achieved completeness were only 3 or 23.07%, while 10 children or 76.93% had not completed. The highest score obtained by this Pre Cycle student was only 75, and the lowest score was 50 with a class average of only 60.38. Then the class action research was carried out in Cycle I, the result was 7 students who had completed their studies and 6 students had not finished or 46.16%. So it was continued with Cycle II and the results were 13 students or 100% Completed all with a class average of 79.61, the highest score was 90 and the lowest was 70. This shows that the make a match method can help grade 5 students at SDN 2 Candi improve their science learning outcomes.
