Abstract

This study aims to increase the emergence of scientific attitudes in the attitude assessment rubric of the Organ Movement in Animals and Humans subtheme of class V Elementary School 1 Pagerejo. This study uses classroom action research. The subject of the research was the odd semester fifth grade teacher's book on the theme of Organs of Animal and Human Movement on the sub-theme of Organs of Movement of Animals and Humans. Data collection is documentation, analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) The scientific attitude consists of being curious, introspective/conscientious, honest, responsible, open to ideas new ideas, objective, cooperative, based on evidence, critical thinking, awareness or care for the environment, accepting knowledge as part of an intellectual tradition, not giving up/diligent, not prejudiced, free-thinking, disciplined, eager to get something new, attitude consistent with the acquisition of knowledge, confident, and religious; (2) In the pre-cycle as many as 60% or 12 students who have not completed the criteria for completeness, only 40% or 8 of the total 20 students who meet the criteria or complete. The average result in this pre-cycle was 65. Based on the results of the data, the scientific attitude of the grade V SD Negeri 1 Pagerejo students' assessment was still lacking and needed improvement; (3) 85% or 17 students have met the criteria for completion and as many as 15% or 3 students have not met the criteria for completion. The average score obtained is 88. Based on the results obtained, there is an increase that meets the complete criteria. Therefore, efforts to improve scientific attitude can improve learning outcomes.
