PENGEMBANGAN DIGITAL BOOK BERBASIS ASESMEN KOMPETENSI MINIMUM (AKM) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN LITERASI MEMBACA PESERTA DIDIK

Abstract

The purposes of this development research is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of “Digital Book” based on “Minimum Competency Assessment”(AKM) to improve students' reading literacy skills. This research are “ research and development” with a design from Borg and Gall 6 steps are potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, product revision, small-scale usage trials, product revision, large-scale usage trials. The data collection instruments used were validity sheets for experts and practitioners, teacher and student response questionnaires, reading literacy question validation sheets, reading literature “ pretest” and “posttest” questions. These instruments are developed based on the supervisor's review, expert lecturer's assessment, practitioners, and limited trials on students and practitioners. The validity test is conducted by experts with a value of 92% for the material aspect and 93% for the teaching material aspect, both  are include in the very valid category. The practicality test is  obtaine from student and teacher questionnaires which are declare practical by students by obtaining an average score of 88.11 in the very good category and the practicality / readability response by the class teacher obtained a score of 88.75 in the very good category. Based on peer assessment, a score with an interval of 90 is obtained in the very good category. Therefore it can be conclude that according to the practitioners the teaching materials developed are practically used in learning Indonesian. The effectiveness test used is the paired sample t test and n-gain test. The result of the paired sample t test is 0.000 which means that the n-gain test value in this study obtained 0.344 with a moderate improvement category, and the T test value obtained Sig. 0,000. Sig value. 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So that there is an average difference between pretest and posttest learning outcomes, which means that the use of Digital Book based on Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) to improve students' reading literacy skills. The N-Gain result is 0.344 in the medium category. The results showed that the “Digital Book” based on Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) developed was proven to be valid, practical, and effective so that it was very feasible to be used in language learning in elementary schools to improve students' reading literacy skills.
