MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI MODEL PBL DENGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN POP UP BOX

ABSTRACT The background of this research is the low understanding of students' learning in Pancasila and civic education lessons on the material of Pancasila symbols and the application of Pancasila precepts. This research provides a solution through the PBL learning model, which is a learning model that involves the activeness of students to always think critically and always be skilled in solving a problem. It is also supported by the use of Silapan Pop Up Box learning media in which there are limitations to the application of the Pancasila precepts along with their pictures. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR), which is a research model in which there are four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects taken in this study were all first grade students at SDN 1 Keniten Ponorogo for the 2023 academic year. The subjects in this study totaled 8 students consisting of 4 boys and 4 girls. The instruments (data collection tools) used were item questions, interviews, documentation and observation sheets. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that there is an increase in the results of student evaluations which return an average of 65 in the pre-cycle, there is an increase in cycle I, students have an average of 72.5 while in cycle II it has an average of 78, 25 with the proportion of increase from pre-cycle to cycle I of 7.5% and cycle I to cycle II increased by 6.25% and from pre-cycle to cycle II increased by 13.75%, therefore using this learning media can increase understanding student learning in the subject of Pancasila education and citizenship in the material for applying the Pancasila precepts in class I at SDN 1 Keniten, Ponorogo District, Ponorogo Regency in the 2023 academic year.
