ANALISIS PENERAPAN METODE RESUME DALAM PROSES PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN GURU MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract

Learning in higher education requires students to actively obtain, process, and convey information. The resume method, which involves summarizing learning material by selecting main ideas and rewriting them systematically in one's own words, is one strategy that can encourage such involvement. However, its implementation does not always achieve the intended learning objectives. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the resume method in the learning process of fourth-semester students of the Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education (PGMI) Study Program at STAIN Majene in the 2025–2026 academic year. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, and data were collected from 42 students who had experienced learning with the resume method using a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that most students had positive perceptions of the resume method. The method helps students understand learning material more deeply, develops analytical and critical thinking skills, and fosters learning independence. Nevertheless, students faced obstacles, including difficulty identifying main information, limited time, and the large amount of material to be summarized. The effectiveness of the method is strongly influenced by the lecturer's clear instructions, examples, and feedback. In conclusion, the resume method can serve as an alternative active learning strategy in PGMI, provided it is well designed and supported by lecturer guidance.
