PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PPKN SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on the Civic Education (PPKN) learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 183 Pekanbaru in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample consisted of 60 fifth-grade students, with 30 students in class VA as the control class and 30 students in class VB as the experimental class, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using multiple-choice tests in the form of pretests and posttests and documentation. Thirty-five test items were tried out, of which 25 items were declared valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, independent samples t-test, and N-Gain tests with IBM SPSS Statistics 30. The pretest means were 57.47 for the experimental class and 53.60 for the control class, with a significance value of 0.156. After treatment, the posttest means were 78.40 and 66.80, respectively, with a significance value of <0.001. The N-Gain values were 48.37% for the experimental class and 30.04% for the control class. The findings indicate a significant difference in PPKN learning outcomes between students taught using STAD and those taught using conventional learning.
