Abstract

Education as a forum for developing human potential has a noble goal, namely to form a generation with character and adorned with noble character. The current condition draws attention to moral decadence in the midst of people's lives. Therefore, the assessment and implementation of multicultural education is needed in order to overcome the increasingly crucial educational problems. This study aims to find out how the paradigm of multicultural education in elementary schools is. The research method used is the library research method. In its efforts to overcome the problem of national harmony, it focuses on the formation of national identity. This can be seen from the various problems that cause a lot of anxiety in society because they do not understand multicultural education. In this multicultural education, students are provided with an introduction to the various differences and characteristics of the Indonesian people, which are divided into various tribes, language customs and religions. As well as displaying good ethics and character in getting along in society. This shows the importance of returning the nation's children to their complete identity to maintain the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation.
