IMPLEMENTASI PENGABDIAN MASYARAKAT BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL MELALUI KKN DI KECAMATAN CERENTI

Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) is a form of student engagement with the community through the application of knowledge, skills, and academic experience. The 2026 KKN program of UIN Suska Riau in Cerenti District was implemented with a focus on strengthening the community based on local wisdom. This community service program aimed to identify the potential, needs, and local wisdom of the community and to implement them through programs tailored to the conditions of each village. The activities were carried out in five villages, namely Tanjung Medan Village, Pulau Bayur Village, Teluk Pauh Village, Pulau Panjang Cerenti Village, and Pulau Jambu Village. The implementation methods included observation, mapping, discussion, coordination, mentoring, and direct involvement of students with the community and village governments. The community service programs covered the fields of education, religious activities, social affairs, economic development, environmental management, and culture. The results showed that the implementation of the KKN program received support and active participation from the community in various activities. The programs contributed to the development of local potential, strengthened interaction and collaboration between students and the community, and supported educational, religious, social, and economic activities in the villages. The local wisdom-based KKN program had an impact on increasing community participation and fostering collaboration to support the sustainability of activities in accordance with the needs and potential of the local area.
