PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PETA TIMBUL BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study was motivated by the still limited use of concrete and contextual learning media in IPAS instruction on the “My Indonesia Is Rich” unit, specifically the topic “What Does My Indonesia Look Like?” in fifth grade elementary school. This situation has prevented students from gaining learning experiences that help them understand the actual forms and characteristics of different regions. This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of a relief map-based learning medium rooted in local wisdom for IPAS instruction for fifth grade elementary school students. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate stages. The feasibility of the product was assessed by subject matter experts, media experts, and instructional design experts using a validation questionnaire. The results showed that the medium received a feasibility rating of 100% from subject matter experts, 100% from instructional design experts, and 93.75% from media experts. A summary of the validation results indicated a feasibility rating of 97.89%, classified as “highly feasible.” Thus, the relief map medium based on local wisdom is feasible for use as a learning medium for IPAS in fifth-grade elementary school.
