PENGARUH KEIKUTSERTAAN KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER TERHADAP TINGKAT KECERDASAN SOSIAL DI SMA NEGERI 2 TARUTUNG

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of participation in Scouting extracurricular activities, the level of students' social intelligence, and the influence of participation in Scouting extracurricular activities on students' social intelligence at SMA Negeri 2 Tarutung. The study employs a quantitative approach using descriptive methods. The sample consists of 30 students participating in the Scouting extracurricular activity, selected using the saturated sampling technique. Data were collected via a questionnaire that met validity and reliability standards and were subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that the level of participation in Scouting extracurricular activities falls into the "very high" category (76.67%), as does the level of students' social intelligence (76.67%). Simple linear regression analysis yielded an F-value of 86.273 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), demonstrating a significant influence of participation in Scouting extracurricular activities on students' social intelligence at SMA Negeri 2 Tarutung.
