PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PEMBELAJARAN IPAS BERBASIS HOTS PADA MATERI BAGAIMANA BENTUK INDONESIAKU UNTUK SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited availability of teaching materials capable of developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in IPAS instruction at the elementary school level. This situation highlights the need to develop learning modules that are tailored to students’ characteristics and support the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to develop a HOTS-based IPAS learning module on the topic “What Does My Indonesia Look Like?” for fifth-grade elementary school students. The method used is research and development (R&D) based on the ADDIE model, limited to the Develop stage, which includes Analyze, Design, and Develop. Research data were obtained through validation sheets completed by three validators: a subject matter expert who is also an instructional design expert, a language expert, and a media expert. The validation results showed a feasibility percentage of 100% for the content aspect, 100% for the instructional design aspect, 98% for the language aspect, and 93.75% for the media aspect. These results indicate that the HOTS-based IPAS learning module developed falls into the “highly feasible” category and is therefore suitable for use as supplementary teaching material in IPAS instruction for fifth-grade elementary school students.
