HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEDISIPLINAN BELAJAR DAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK PADA SISWA KELAS V SD 2 PANJUNAN KUDUS

Abstract

Learning discipline is one of the important factors supporting students’ success in the learning process. Learning discipline is related to students’ ability to regulate themselves, obey rules, fulfill learning responsibilities, and participate in learning activities regularly. This study aimed to analyze learning discipline, academic achievement, and the relationship between learning discipline and academic achievement among fifth-grade students at SD 2 Panjunan Kudus. This study employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research design. The subjects were fifth-grade students at SD 2 Panjunan Kudus as participants. Data were collected using a learning discipline questionnaire and an academic achievement test. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing. Learning discipline was measured through seven indicators: being punctual in learning, attending lessons, completing assignments within the specified time, obeying school rules, studying diligently, learning independently, and demonstrating honesty and pleasant behavior. The study involved 28 students as respondents. The results showed that students’ learning discipline was in the moderate category, with 78.6% of students classified in this category, while academic achievement was also in the moderate category, with 67.9% of students classified in this category. Hypothesis testing showed a positive and significant relationship between learning discipline and academic achievement, with a t-count of 3.383 greater than the t-table value of 2.056 and a significance value of 0.017 less than 0.05. Therefore, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, indicating that higher learning discipline was associated with better academic achievement among fifth-grade students at SD 2 Panjunan Kudus.
