IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INDEX CARD MATCH DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIATERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOLABORASI SISWA KELAS IV MI AL-IJTIHAD JONTAK

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Index Card Match learning model in improving the collaboration skills of fourth-grade students at MI Al-Ijtihad Jontak. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teacher, and fourth-grade students as data sources. Data analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of the Index Card Match learning model was carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation and was able to support the development of students’ collaboration skills. This was demonstrated by students’ ability to work together, communicate, assist group members, respect others’ opinions, fulfill responsibilities, and actively participate in group activities; (2) several challenges were encountered, including differences in students’ abilities and characteristics, limited learning time, difficulties in understanding the material and finding matching cards, and students’ lack of confidence when presenting their group work; and (3) these challenges were addressed by providing explanations accompanied by concrete examples, assisting students throughout the learning process, assigning tasks in a structured manner, and managing learning time effectively. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Index Card Match learning model can serve as an alternative approach to support the improvement of fourth-grade students’ collaboration skills in Indonesian language learning, making the learning process more active, interactive, and enjoyable.
