PERBAIKAN DELAY PRODUKSI BERBASIS ANALISIS ERGONOMI (EFD) PT FUJI SEAT INDONESIA

This study aims to analyze ergonomic issues and determine improvement designs to enhance the work process efficiency of personnel involved in part preparation at PT Fuji Seat Indonesia. The primary issue identified was production delays on Line 3 that exceeded company targets. The study employed the Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) method, which integrates operator needs with anthropometric data to design optimal work facilities. The results indicate that implementing an ergonomically designed preparation rack reduced the process time from 220 seconds/set to 180 seconds/set, representing a time efficiency gain of 18.18%. Furthermore, production output increased from 131 sets to 160 sets per shift, raising actual performance against the target from 87.33% to 106.67%. Evaluations using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) also confirmed a significant reduction in operators' physical complaints. Thus, the application of EFD proved effective in fostering more ergonomic work methods while simultaneously boosting operational productivity.
