DETERMINAN PERILAKU HIDUP BERSIH DAN SEHAT DI SEKOLAH PADA INDIKATOR MEMBUANG SAMPAH PADA TEMPATNYA DI SD NEGERI KECAMATAN GUNUNG RAYA

Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior is an important step that must be taken to achieve optimal health for every individual, especially among children who need to be made aware of the importance of maintaining health. In general, the achievement of PHBS in Indonesia shows an increasing trend from 27% in 2014 to 40% in 2024, but this figure is still far from the national target of 80% in 2028. This data shows that public awareness and practice of PHBS, including keeping the environment clean such as throwing trash in its place, still need to be improved. This study is an analytical quantitative study to analyze the Determinants of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior in Schools based on the Indicator of Throwing Trash in Its Place at SD N in Gunung Raya District. The approach used is cross-sectional, which is a research design that measures both the independent and dependent variables at the same time. The research results show that there is a relationship between knowledge and the behavior of throwing trash in its place with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), there is a relationship between attitude and the behavior of throwing trash with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), there is a relationship between facilities and infrastructure and the behavior of throwing trash in its place with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), there is a relationship between the role of teachers and the behavior of throwing trash in its place with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), there is no relationship between the role of family and the behavior of throwing trash in its place with a p-value = 0.622 (>0.05), and there is no relationship between the role of peers and the behavior of throwing trash in its place with a p-value = 0.178 (>0.05). The results of this study are expected to serve as additional scientific references and learning materials in the field of health promotion, especially related to clean and healthy living behaviors in school-aged children. In addition, these results are expected to be used as materials for developing studies and community service activities related to CHLB in the school environment.
