PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GEOBOARD TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MATERI BANGUN DATAR KELAS IA SD INPRES WAIROTANG

This study aimed to determine the effect of using Geoboards on students' learning outcomes in mathematics, specifically regarding plane figures, for first-grade students at Inpres Wairotang Elementary School. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample consisted of 22 students, comprising 10 boys and 12 girls. The data collection techniques employed tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and hypothesis testing via the Paired Sample t-test. The results indicated that the use of the Geoboard as a teaching aid improved students' learning outcomes. The average pretest score of 6.77% increased to 80% on the posttest. The results of the hypothesis test using the Paired-Sample t-test showed a calculated t-value of -5.919 with a significance level (Sig., 2-tailed) of <,001 <0.05; therefore, Ho was rejected, and Hi was accepted. It can be concluded that the use of the Geoboard has a significant effect on students' learning outcomes in the mathematics subject, specifically on the topic of plane figures, for Grade IA students at SD Inpres Wairotang.
