MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPAS MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 008/VI DESA PELANGKI TAHUN PELAJARAN 2025/2026

Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that the learning process is still conducted in a conventional manner without the use of varied teaching methods, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes in IPAS for students. The purpose of this study is to improve and describe IPAS learning outcomes through the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model among fourth-grade students at SDN 008/VI in Pelangki Village during the 2025/2026 school year. This study falls under the category of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle comprised the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 18 fourth-grade students at SDN 008/VI in Pelangki Village, and the research focus was on improving learning outcomes in the topic of “Understanding Maps.” The results showed that in Cycle I, the average score was 60.27, with a class-wide mastery rate of 55.56%. In Cycle II, the average score was 72.2, with a class-wide mastery rate of 77.78%. There was a noticeable improvement in learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II, with the average score increasing by 11.93. The class-wide mastery rate also increased by 22.22%. Student learning activity in Cycle I was 59.44%, and in Cycle II, it was 70.55%. There was an 11.11% increase in student learning activity from Cycle I to Cycle II. Based on these research findings, it can be concluded that there was an improvement in students’ learning outcomes and engagement; thus, it can be stated that the application of the Jigsaw learning model led to an increase in IPAS learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at SDN 008/VI in Pelangki Village during the 2025/2026 school year.
