Abstract

History learning can connect past human activity with contemporary ecological problems, yet interactive digital materials integrating Green History and ecopedagogy remain limited. This study developed a Green History-based interactive e-module on the Industrial Revolution and examined its feasibility, practicality, and limited effectiveness. Research and Development used the ADDIE model with a limited trial involving 27 Grade XI Phase F students at SMAN 2 Sijunjung. Data were collected through observation, interviews, validation and response questionnaires, a historical-understanding test, and an ecopedagogy-awareness questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively and with normalized gain (N-Gain). Material and module validation scores were 3.17 (feasible) and 3.60 (highly feasible). Teacher and student practicality scores were 3.65 and 3.45, both highly practical. N-Gain reached 0.77 for historical understanding and 0.56 for ecopedagogy awareness. The e-module therefore showed positive learning gains in a limited trial, while ecological awareness requires more sustained learning.
