PERANCANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS GAME EDUKASI PADA MATERI TATA SURYA MATA PELAJARAN IPA KELAS VI DI SD NEGERI JOGLO SURAKARTA

This study aimed to design an educational game as an interactive learning medium for the Solar System topic in Grade VI Science at SD Negeri Joglo Surakarta. The study was motivated by the limited use of attractive and interactive learning media and the abstract characteristics of Solar System concepts, which may make them difficult for elementary students to understand. The research employed Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, literature study, and questionnaires. The product, named “Jago Tata Surya,” was developed using Adobe Animate and presented as an Android-based two-dimensional educational game containing login, profile, learning material, quiz, and score features. Functional testing used Black Box Testing, while feasibility was assessed by media experts, material experts, teachers, and a small-scale student trial using a five-point Likert scale. The results showed that all tested functions operated as expected. The media expert validation obtained 91%, material expert validation 90%, and teacher validation 92%, with an overall expert average of 91% categorized as very feasible. A trial involving 15 Grade VI students obtained 99%, also categorized as very feasible. These findings indicate that “Jago Tata Surya” is feasible as an alternative interactive learning medium for Solar System material in Grade VI elementary Science.
