PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA MATH POWER GAMES BERKONSEP GAMIFIKASI UNTUK PENGUATAN LITERASI NUMERASI SISWA KELAS V DI SDIT AL IRSYAD BANTEN

The low level of numeracy literacy among elementary school students remains a topic of ongoing discussion in Indonesian education, particularly following the publication of National Assessment results showing numeracy achievement falling far short of expected standards. This study aimed to develop "Math Power Games"—a gamification-based learning medium—to strengthen the numeracy literacy of fifth-grade students at SDIT Al Irsyad Banten. A mixed-methods approach was employed using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The study involved 23 fifth-grade students (13 boys and 10 girls). Data collection instruments included validation sheets for subject matter, media, and language experts; questionnaires for one-on-one and small-group trials; student and teacher response questionnaires; and numeracy literacy tests (pre-test and post-test). Validation results yielded average scores of 90.0% (subject matter experts), 93.3% (media experts), and 90.0% (language experts), with a combined average of 91.1%, placing the medium in the "Highly Feasible" category. One-on-one trials with three students resulted in a score of 81.4%, while small-group trials with 12 students yielded 91.2%; both results fell into the "Highly Positive" category. Quantitative analysis showed an increase in the average student score from 50.96 on the pre-test to 79.70 on the post-test, with an N-Gain of 0.60 (moderate category). The learning mastery rate rose from 0% (zero students) to 87.0% (20 students). Student responses to the medium during field trials (23 students) reached 76.0% (positive category), while teacher responses reached 90.7% (highly positive category). The study concludes that Math Power Games is a feasible and effective gamification-based mathematics learning medium for fifth-grade elementary students.
