REPRESENTASI TINDAK TUTUR DIREKTIF DALAM FILM 1 KAKAK 7 PONAKAN KARYA YANDY LAURENS

Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of directive speech acts in the film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan by Yandy Laurens. The research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The data source consisted of the utterances of the characters in the film that contain directive speech acts. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that directive speech acts in the film are represented through various forms, including commanding, requesting, inviting, advising, prohibiting, suggesting, and pleading. The most dominant form is commanding, as most interactions among the characters portray family relationships, responsibility, and mutual care in everyday life. The use of directive speech acts functions not only to convey the speaker's intentions but also to represent politeness, social closeness, and interpersonal relationships among the characters. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of pragmatic studies, particularly those concerning directive speech acts in audiovisual literary works.
