PENGARUH METODE TALAQQI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA AL-QUR’AN (STUDI SURVEI MAJELIS TA’LIM NURUL FITRI SUKAPURA JAKARTA UTARA)

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of the ability to read the Qur'an as a fundamental skill that every Muslim should possess. However, many students still experience difficulties in reading the Qur'an, particularly in the correct pronunciation of makharij al-huruf (articulation points of letters), the application of tajwid rules, and reading fluency. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of the Talaqqi method on the Qur'an reading ability of students at Majelis Ta'lim Nurul Fitri Sukapura, North Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 243 students, while the sample comprised 71 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical tests, including validity, reliability, normality, linearity, simple linear regression, Pearson correlation, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that the Talaqqi method had a positive and significant effect on the students' Qur'an reading ability. This finding was supported by a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.679, indicating a strong relationship between the two variables. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.462, indicating that the Talaqqi method contributed 46.2% to the students' Qur'an reading ability, while the remaining 53.8% was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Talaqqi method effectively improves students' ability to read the Qur'an. Therefore, this method can be maintained and further developed as an alternative approach to Qur'an learning in non-formal Islamic educational institutions.
