DAMPAK BULLYING TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN PSIKOLOGIS SISWA KELAS X-1 di SMA NEGERI 1 SURALAGA (Studi Naratif)

Abstract

This study aims to explore the various forms of bullying, the narratives and subjective meanings held by victims, the impact on psychological well-being, and how victimized students perceive the concept of psychological well-being. The research employs a qualitative approach using a narrative study method. Primary data were obtained from two students who were victims of bullying (P and A), while secondary data were collected from the homeroom teacher and the guidance and counseling teacher. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and observation. Data analysis followed the model developed by Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that the forms of bullying experienced included verbal and relational bullying, characterized by repetition and a power imbalance. The victims' subjective narratives describe bullying as a painful experience that caused distress, anxiety, and fear. The impact on psychological well-being was profound across the six dimensions of Ryff’s theory, with self-acceptance, autonomy, environmental mastery, and social relationships being the most affected aspects. Student P experienced a more severe impact than Student A. The victims perceived psychological well-being as a state of safety and comfort, whereas bullying created distress and isolation. This study concludes that verbal and relational bullying significantly impact students' psychological well-being; therefore, comprehensive bullying prevention and intervention programs, as well as ongoing psychosocial support for victims, are essential.
