GAMBARAN KESESUAIAN ERGONOMI FISIK RUANG PENYIMPANAN REKAM MEDIS RSI IBNU SINA PADANG PANJANG TAHUN 2025

Abstract

Introduction: Medical record storage rooms need to comply with physical ergonomic aspects, including rack spacing, lighting, air ventilation, temperature, and noise. Initial observations at the medical record storage room of RSI Ibnu Sina Padang Panjang found narrow rack spacing, uneven lighting, suboptimal air ventilation, room temperature conditions, and noise originating from the registration area. Objective: This study aimed to describe rack spacing, lighting, air ventilation, temperature, and noise in the medical record storage room at RSI Ibnu Sina Padang Panjang. Methods: This study was conducted at RSI Ibnu Sina Padang Panjang from April 11–13, 2026, using a qualitative method. The research instruments consisted of an observation sheet, interview guide, documentation, and triangulation, with four informants. Results: The study showed that the physical ergonomic conditions of the medical record storage room did not meet the standards stipulated in Minister of Health Regulation Number 2 of 2023. The rack spacing was only 68 cm, while lighting in the middle and rear sections of the room remained below the standard, measuring 60 lux and 47 lux, respectively. The room temperature ranged from 22.8°C to 24.4°C. Ventilation was not optimal because the room used only one air-conditioning unit, and the windows were obstructed by storage racks. Noise originated from patient activities around the room. Conclusion: The physical ergonomic conditions of the medical record storage room at RSI Ibnu Sina Padang Panjang in 2025 did not meet ergonomic standards. It is recommended that RSI Ibnu Sina Padang Panjang improve physical ergonomic conditions by adjusting rack spacing according to standards, improving lighting distribution, optimizing room ventilation through air-conditioning maintenance, monitoring temperature, and providing soundproofing.
